Focus Integrated were nominated for two awards, but came away with three!
It was a night of winning for Team Digi at the Essex Digital Awards last night. We were nominated for two awards; Best Use of Video for Business for our work with Countryside Properties and again for our work with Bedfordshire Police for their Cross the Line Campaign, our second nomination was for Best Website; B2B for the website we designed and built for Riviera Drinks.
We arrived to a drinks reception at Hylands House where we mingled with the best Essex has to offer in the digital realm. Joined by fellow agencies, designers, and bloggers the evening truly showcased the best that Essex has to offer and we were proud to be part of such a talented bunch!
It was into the marquee for the dinner, accompanied by Perfect Strings who filled the tent with classical takes on modern songs which really added to the already buzzing atmosphere. The #FocusFamily table was made up of; Digital Director Nicole Eve, Creative Director Jason Riley, Head of Development Steve Everett, Head of Creative Ben Dixon, Digital Account Manager Ruth Aggiss, Lead Digital Designer Neill Cartlidge, PPC Executive Adam Lock, SEO Executive AJ Seecharran, Marketing Executive Sophie Laccohee, and Assistant Marketing Executive Laura Parker.
Once we’d finished eating; it was time to get quizzical! Having completed the picture rounds before eating it was revealed that Focus had only got 1 question wrong and were, therefore, competing in the tiebreaker with two other teams. It was on. Nominated by her fellow teammates it was up to Nicole to represent Focus and bring home the first win of the night! Watch the video below to see how we got on:
WE WON! Nicole aced the tiebreaker question, earning all of us a bottle of wine each! And thus began the awards ceremony and Focus’ winning streak.
The first category to be announced was the Best Use of Video for Business and Focus was nominated twice! Once for our work with Countryside Properties, and secondly for our work the Bedfordshire Police with their Cross the Line campaign. To be nominated twice was an honour and a real testament to the brilliant work Neill and his team do to create stunning videos for our clients.
We were proud to be crowned the bronze winner in this category for the Countryside video, Lead Digital Designer Neill said; “I’m really happy to be recognised for our video creation; Countryside’s video was great to get creative with and showcase London. A lot of work goes into each project for our clients and the recognition from these awards is a real boost to the team.”
Our next nomination was for the website we designed and built for fellow Essex company Riviera Drinks. We were delighted to win the silver award for this website, designed by Neill and built by our development team. We were up against some tough competition and we would like to congratulate all the winners in our categories.
"A lot of work goes into each project for our clients and the recognition from these awards is a real boost to the team."
"We continue to press to be the best in our sector and these award recognitions prove we’re onto something here at Focus."
Overall, we had a great evening celebrating the best Essex has to offer in the realm of digital marketing and we were really proud to win our awards and, of course, the quiz!
Creative Director, Jason Riley said, “Last night was a great showcase for Essex Businesses and we’re proud to be part of the award-winning lineup. We continue to press to be the best in our sector and these award recognitions prove we’re onto something here at Focus. We’re already lining up projects we will enter next year as 2018 is already proving to be a ground-breaking year for our digital team.”
