We’ve all missed interaction with real people this year in our personal lives, and our audiences are no different! Yes, we’ve adapted (doesn’t Houseparty feel like an age ago?! And I’m sure Microsoft Teams couldn’t have predicted better user uptake…) but have we gone far enough in making an effort to ensure our customers feel nurtured?
The first thing I would be doing in 2021 is looking at your CRM strategy, mapping out all existing communications you send out, and looking at where the holes are. While it’s clearly negative to bombard your customers with emails, a strategically timed, personalised automation that is highly relevant to their needs at a particular time in their journey is like a little virtual arm around their shoulder…and who hasn’t craved one of those in the new way of life that came speeding towards us in 2020?
